In it’s ninth season, viewers get to go behind the scenes once again to get all the stories from the Cologne Zoo! The year 2010 is very special because Germany’s thirld-oldest zoo is celebrating it’s 150th anniversary.
In this fifth season, the animals from Dresden continue to tell their exciting and entertaining stories from the zoo. In addition to seeing old friends and the most popular animals again, viewers will get to know many new people and animals.
The best stories from five zoological parks – that’s the secret behind the success of “Tierische Kumpel”! This time we revisit well-known buddies in Dresden and Nuremberg and going to discover new faces at Heidelberg, Osnabrück, and the nearby Netherlands.
The elephant nursery in Cologne continues to grow. The youngest member of the Asian herd is named Khin Yadanar Min, and he is the fourth baby in just three years. As one would expect, the elephant care team headed by Werner Nass has their hands full, but they aren't the only ones. The "bottle-baby" Marlar has all of her aunts on duty as well. For just as they should in a well-functioning herd, all of the elephant cows help to raise the offspring in Cologne.
In the second season of Nürnberger Schnauzen, we are once again tending the young polar bear Flocke (Snowflake). The one-year-old lady is no longer a cuddly animal. The keepers know this, of course, and see to it that their hand-raised baby, who has gradually grown, takes her first steps towards independence.
They make important speeches, sit in Bundestag chambers all day, and work on new laws. Politicians are frequently criticized for not understanding the needs of their constituents because their lives have so little to do with those of most citizens. Do politicians know our concerns?
