A world without waste

Produce, consume, throw away. Is there an alternative to this economic model? Because it is not only the environment that suffers. The economy also loses valuable raw materials. Even the European Union is now calling for a rethink in the direction of a circular economy. Waste should no longer be incinerated or landfilled. Instead, industry should reuse it as raw material for new products.

The restructuring of our economic system needs people with different ideas. We explore the question of how the transition to a new, environmentally friendly economic system can succeed. We show innovative forward thinkers who want to convert their companies completely to a circular economy and creative lateral thinkers who are mobilising against the constraints of the throwaway society.
