For six months, doc.station observed the animal hustle and bustle on the Schusters’ farm for MDR. Lambs are born, nursed and made fit for life on the Elbe dyke in Saxony-Anhalt. Foals prance across the paddock for the first time, the show carriage horses of the children Jan and Lena are made fit for the season and the donkeys are supposed to scare off the wolves. Mother Kerstin bakes for the farm café and shepherd Axel looks after the pastures. In five episodes we accompany Axel Schuster and his family in their everyday life, which knows no breaks.  We learn the shepherd’s tricks when a lamb doesn’t get enough milk and calf Bruno is rejected by his mother. Axel proudly presents the current offspring of his pony mares and can hope for awards like Lena and Jan in the carriage race. At home, Kerstin makes sure that visitors and customers are satisfied in the farm café and farm shop.
