Grand Tour de Suisse
Content: Along the legendary Grand Tour de Suisse we travel through breathtaking nature, past palm trees in the south, snow in the Alps and crystal-clear lakes in the interior. By train and boat across town and country, the tour takes us over 1000 kilometres through four language regions, over five Alpine passes, along several lakes and through the cities of Zurich or Locarno.
SEQUENCE 1: The journey begins in Switzerland’s largest city – Zurich, leads through Toggenburg and the canton of Schwyz to Lake Lucerne in the Bernese Oberland.
SEQUENCE 2: The second stage takes us through French-speaking Switzerland. It begins south of Basel in the rugged Jura, leads across Lake Geneva with its Mediterranean flair and ends high up in the canton of Valais in Zermatt at the Matterhorn.
SEQUENCE 3: The last journey leads from Ticino through the canton of Grisons to Appenzell. It is a journey from the Mediterranean-like south of Switzerland to the mountainous north-east.
